In addition to the homework on the monthly calendar, here are some additional things you can do at home each night.
Language Arts: Please practice your word cards daily and read your little books in your reading bags. Then retell the beginning, middle, and end to someone at home.
Math: Practice writing numbers 0-20 and practice adding and subtracting.

Please also take a look at these helpful websites with your parents:
This site is great to help children to read with phonics. All Starfall Phonics activities are both audio and video intensive, showing young readers what the letter sounds like, what it sounds like as part of a word, and how that word represents something real that children will recognize.

This is an interactive site to help your child to write letters, sentences and numbers. You are able to print out all kinds of worksheets that will teach your child proper handwriting.

This site gives you ways to encourage your child's natural interest in math, and to provide the foundation for math experiences that your child will draw from later in school. Math is more than counting! Activities on this site link math to art, movement, games and nature and help kids see that math is everywhere.

Next time your child asks you to read a story, encourage them that they can tell the story instead. Use one of these Young Writers Workshop pages to help them get started.
